It’s a time of celebration here at Blue Shield of California as we observe Hispanic Heritage Month from September 15 through October 15. During this month and throughout the year, we celebrate and recognize the prosperity, power, progress, impact and continued contributions made by Hispanic and Latin Americans at Blue Shield of California and across the nation.
Our employee resource group, ¡Unidos!, is on a mission to make Blue Shield an inclusive, diverse, and great place to do meaningful work by recruiting, developing, promoting, and retaining Hispanic and Latin American talent at all levels.
Here at Blue Shield, we’re committed to supporting an employee population that is representative of the diverse communities we serve at all levels of the organization. As part of our commitment to diversity, we have a rich employee resource group program available to all employees; in fact, 43 percent of Blue Shield employees currently belong to at least one employee resources group. Each group offers opportunities for members and allies of various diverse communities to come together, share experiences, support important causes and celebrate their cultures.
